Promising rising star, Picazzo Rhap, one of the former youngin members of the YBNL family whose exit also made the headlines has come out to say he wasn’t depressed when he sang his recent song “Pray For Me.”
He describes his transition from the notorious YBNL record label as a personal choice to forge on in his craft.
In his words:
“I left not based on any quarrel, not based on any violence or anything. I left based on the choice to leave and face my craft myself.”
Picazo agrees that he is on a musical sojourn which could lead him to different terrains with nowhere in mind as the destination but greater places.
He seemed undisturbed as opposed to his fellow label mates who have taken the same route out of YBNL mafia.
Regardless, he doesn’t deny that the likes of Lyta and Temmie Ovwasa who also exited the record label do not feel good about the turn of events.
He also made it known that he still maintains a cordial relationship with his former label boss, Olamide Baddo.
Even though things were not exactly as they seemed, Picazo admits that the YBNL platform was indeed a huge stepping stone for him.
He went on to share that his grind in the music game has been fantastic so far and it only takes divine grace to be on such pace.
While his relationship with former label mate and friend, Yomi Blaze is still intact, Picazo is staunchly committed to his hustle.
He described his subtle shift from hardcore rap to the sweet melody we have on his previous track, “Pray For Me” as a sound of the moment that falls during the hit of Corona Virus.
He themed the song as a reflection of what he believes could be going on with different people all over.
He reiterated that he wasn’t singing out of any form of depression or frustration as assumed HERE.
The Macaroni singer refutes any claim suggesting that he has totally switched into a singer from the full-blown hardcore rapper we know him to be.
Everything with him is purely entertainment, which simply shows how flexible it is for him to explore different genres.
Straight from Picazo’s horse’s mouth, we got a hint that his forthcoming EP project dominated with intense rap music is cooking somewhere in his confines and set to drop before the end of the first trimester of this new year.
His performance report from his unimaginable bevy of fans says he is doing amazing. The response from his newest single titled “Pain” has been nothing short of encouraging.
Picazo on this steadfast pace in his career is definitely in for a long ride. It was a pleasure to perform his latest single “Pain” for the first time on NL TV.
